Norsk bokmål: Fridtjof Nansen kryper over en usikker «snebro» over de store sprekkene i isen (breen). Han poserer i fotografens atelier. Fordi Fridtjof Nansen selv hadde tatt alle fotografier under Grønlandsekspedisjonen, måtte det rekonstrueres illustrasjoner som viste Fridtjof Nansen i aktivitet. Disse skulle brukes i boken om ferden over Grønland.
English: Fridtjof Nansen is crawling across an unsafe «snowbridge» across the large crevises in the ice (glacier). He is posing in the photographer's studio. Because he himself had taken all the photos during the Greenland Expedition, illustrations that showed Fridtjof Nansen in action had to be reconstructed. These were to be used in the book about the crossing of Greenland.
Deutsch: Fridtjof Nansen kriecht über eine unsichere ³Schneebrücke² über die grossen Spalten im Eis (Gletscher). Sie posieren im Fotoatelier. Weil Fridtjof Nansen selber alle Fotos auf der Grönlandsexpedition aufgenommen hat, mussten Illustrationen rekonstruiert werden, die Fridtjof Nansen in Aktivität zeigten. Diese sollten im Buch über die Grönlandsreise verwendet werden.

Nederlands: Fridtjof Nansen kruipt over een onveilige ³ijsbrug² om over de grote gletsjerspleten te komen. Hij poseert bij de fotograaf in de studio. Omdat Fridtjof Nansen tijdens de expeditie zelf voor de foto's had gezorgd, moest hij naderhand poseren voor actiefoto's voor het boek over de tocht door Groenland.
