English: In Kalmar on 12-16 June 1926, the fifth Swedish cultural fair was held under the artistic direction of the Nationalmuseum. At the Larmtorget, on June 12, 1926, where after a speech by the governor, the King (Gustav V) revealed the Vasa monument, a larger well, whose top figures and side sculpture are symbols of Gustav Vasa's liberation work. If this struggle, its significance and the example it gives, the king also recalled in his lofty words at the unveiling. Both the artist and several of the fair's functionaries and contributors received decorations.
Svenska: I Kalmar hölls den 12—16 juni 1926 femte svenska kulturmässan under konstnärlig ledning av Nationalmuseum. Vid Larmtorget, den 12 juni 1926, där konungen (Gustav V) efter ett tal av landshövdingen avtäckte det av konstnären Nils Sjögren skapade Vasamonumentet, en större brunn, vars toppfigurer och sidoskulptur utgör symboler av Gustav Vasas befriaregärning. Om denna kamp, dess betydelse och det föredöme den ger, erinrade även konungen i sina högstämda ord vid avtäckningen. Såväl konstnären som flera av mässans funktionärer och medverkande mottog dekorationer.
