- description side A: Athena assisting, Medousa beheaded, Perseus fleeing - side B: Aeneas carrying his father Anchises on his shoulders, between two women each guiding a boy on the hand; one of the women would be Kreusa, who get lost during the chaos of the sack of Troy, one of the boys should be Askanios, their son. The identification of the second woman and boy remains uncertain, maybe they serve only the purpose of symmetry - production place: Athens - painter: Nikoxenos Painter - period / date: late archaic, ca. 500 BC - material: pottery (clay) - height: 41,7 cm - findspot: Vulci - museum / inventory number: München, Staatliche Antikensammlungen 1546 - bibliography: John D.
