Description

The mirror lens. An object of curiosity for many a photographer.

It was an object of my curiosity for many years until this one fell in my lap.

The Tokina 500mm mirror has a fixed aperture of f/8, making it pretty darn slow compared to even inexpensive consumer zooms. Image quality is OK, though contrast is low and focusing is tricky.

When it works, though, there's nothing quite like it.
