Hans Joost Dahlerup (1830-1876) married the artist's daughter Ursula Holbech (1840-1925) in 1869. Holbech portrayed them both. At the 2006 auction, the experts at Bruun Rasmussen mentioned neither the baron nor the earlier auction.
