Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Nickel(II) nitrate hexahydrate solutions (0.1 mol/L), from left to right: water, methanol, ethanol, ethylene glycol, acetonitrile, DMF, 1-methylimidazol*, acetone, THF.
1-methylimidazol reacts with Ni(NO3)2·6H2O and then the product partially dissolves in 1-methylimidazol. The concentration of the product is less than 0.1 mol/L in 1-methylimidazol. Filtration is done to obtain the clear solution, as shown in the picture.
