| Description |
English: The roiling rapids of the Niagara River just upstream from the falls, as seen from the Shoreline Trail in Niagara Falls State Park, New York. This stretch of the river is known as "Hell's Half Acre", for obvious reasons. The view is southwest toward the Goat Island Bridge (extending from right margin); the Niagara Falls, Ontario skyline, partially obscured by trees on Green Island (left), is in the background (the Skylon Tower is just right of center). |
