Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Süngür Bey Camii, a good building of Seljuk origin that was restored by the Mongols as early as 1335 that has fine stonework on the outside, some of the pillars inside look as if they are (copied from) Roman buildings. Most pictures are from before a major restoration, from a 2005 visit with a camera that was decent, but not up to modern standards. Also the light was very poor. In 2019 I could not enter or even come close, as it was being restored. That time my visit was in failing daylight, with a strong blue hue.
