English: Newton Heath railway station (site), Greater Manchester Opened in 1853 on the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway's line from Manchester Victoria to Rochdale, this station closed to passengers in 1966. View north across the sidings of Newton Heath depot. The station's only access appears at one time to have been by a long footbridge. The main line is behind the digger. |
