Description Hatched within the previous few hours, tadpoles of the striped marsh frog (Limnodynastes peronii) sprawl on a leaf. On the left is their three-week-old tadpole cousin, also Limnodynastes peronii. Above the tail of this larger tadpole is a mosquito larva (Culicidae). Como, NSW Australia, April 2009.
