| Description |
English: New towns are not all new. A "Marriage Lintel" with the initials of husband and wife and 1741 date, presumably that of their marriage. This type of lintel was fairly common in Fife (though not always as ornate as this) and this one, preserved in Stenton area, presumably came from one of the old houses demolished to make way for constructing Glenrothes new town. |
