Summary

[edit]
Description
English: New steps adjacent to Dewhursts Mill The building on the left, according to a nearby plaque, was built in the 1830s and officially called Belle Vue Mill, but commonly known as Dewhurst's after its founder. It was used for the production of sewing cotton, later under the 'Sylko' brand, until 1983. The chimney was demolished in 1993 and the main building converted for residential use. These steps are at the west end of the mill and lead up to the canal towpath.
