| Description |
English: New livery of Santander bank in Queen Street. It is unusual for an institution to change its name to both a longer name and to one further down the alphabet but this is what the Santander bank has done in the UK - no doubt hefty bonuses were awarded to those responsible. The bank was created in 2009 from the amalgamation of the Abbey, Alliance & Leicester and the Bradford & Bingley banks. The new shop front also attracts the gaze of Aneurin Bevan, the founder of the NHS - see also the image taken by Keith Edkins, 1376714, of this statue. |
