Summary
[edit]DescriptionNew life for Springview.jpg |
English: The old Tuberculosis hospital on Route 40 just East of Springfield how houses County offices. In all my life, I've never been close to this building. It always loomed in the distance, but seemed foreboding. It's good that the county bought it and now has offices like the Board of Voters there....
A tuberculosis hospital in the 1930s and a mental health facility in the 1960s, the 90,000 sf structure was purchased in 2005 by Clark County for $1. After a $5.5 million renovation, the county has created a "beautiful asset for the county and its citizens" while increasing operational efficiency and customer service, according to Deputy Administrator Nathan Kennedy. Thus far, 6 county operations have been consolidated into Springview. |
