SltEYor STRAWBERRY GUAVA
A Luscious Tropical Fruit
and Cliarming: House Plant
T'
"HIS is a native of Cuba and other
West India islands where its fruit is
of great value for food, and also for mak-
ing confections, which are exported to
all parts of the world. Here, in our cli-
mate, it makes a charming house plant,
rivaling the famous Otahiete Orange in
beauty. It is a nice, clean grower, with
thick, glossy green leaves, and, like the
orange, it bears both flowers and fruit at
the same time. The flowers are pure
white and delightfully fragrant. The
fruit is large, nearly the size of a walnut,
and of a beautiful reddish color ; the
flavor is delicious, sweet and spicy, and
yet rich and delicate. It is very rare and
interesting. The plant begins to bloom
and bear fruit while quite small. The
plants are easily grown and will thrive
with the same treatment given the Ota-
hiete Orange, for which it is a nice com-
panion, and a charming and interesting
plant. Nice mail plants, 20 cts.
each, 6 for $1.00.
THE YEIi'LOW OR OKANGE G-UAVA— Similar to the above, except in color which is rich
orange yellow. Very handsome and desirable, but we have it in two-year size only. Suitable
for tubs, lawn boxes, etc. Price 40 cts. each, by express.
Tbe Bea^utiful Dw2irf Otz^bictc Ompge.
This beautiful dwarf Orange tree is one of our very prettiest house plants ; thick glossy green leaves
and deliciously sweet, pure white flowers ; begins fruiting at once, and bears flowers and lovely golden
yellow oranges all the year round ; easily grown and requires very little care ; nice plants. 15 cts. each;
larger plants, 20 and 25 cts., according to size.
NEW AMERICAN WONDER LEMON— A beautiful little tree
for house culture, hardy and easily grown; similar in appearance
to an orange tree, and bears splendid large lemons of best fla-
vor for all culinary purposes; flowers large, pure white; both fruit
and flowers borne at the same time. 15c.; larger size 20c. postpaid.
OLEA FRAGRANS (Sweet Olive)— A rare and very choice house
plant, somewhat resembling an orange in habit of growth, and
becoming more beautiful year by year. Has thick, glossy green
leaves, and small, pure white flowers, which are borne in pro-
fusion for at least six months in the year. It is highly valued for
its exquisite fragrance, which will fill the whole house with de-
licious perfume, for months at a time. Will thrive best in a
moderately cool room. Strong blooming plants. 35 cts. each,
postpaid.

The Beautiful Wax Plant,
This is not new, but a very beautiful and satisfactory house plant.
It is a low climber with brown stems and thick glossy olive green
leaves ; bears beautiful clusters of exquisite wax-like flowers,
creamy white delicately tinted with pink ; they are delightfully fra-
grant and continue beautiful for months at a time. It grows slowly
and becomes more beautiful with age. Will do best in a small pot,
and should be kept rather dry ; easily managed, thrives nicely in the
living-room. A popular favorite wherever known. JJOcts. each.
Croton, Aurea Maculatum.
The Crotons are greatly admired for the rich and beautiful
coloring of their leaves ; some kinds are too tender for ordinary use,
but this one will stand all manner of hard usage, and is a most
desirable plant for parlor or living-room. It grows erect with long
narrow deep green leaves, spotted all over with flakes of yellow,
looking as if sprinkled with gold dust. Always pretty, and grows
prettier every year. 30 cts. each ; 3 for 50 cts.
r\Ui.r This set of 6 choice house
KJllK^V plants, only $1.20.
The Yellow Guava is too large to go by mail.
