THE FINEST ALTERS
THE Asters are esteemed among the most beautiful and popular flowers grown from seed ; they are
easily raised and most abundant bloomers. The flowers are very large, full regular form, per-
fectly double, and of many rich and beautiful colors ; Deep Crimson, Pure White, Dark Blue,
Rose and Pink, etc , far exceeding in brilliant beauty all other flowers of their season. We offer the
best seed of the following new and choice varieties, and hope our Fi-iends will give them a Lib-
eral Trial.
New Japanese or
Tassel Asters

This is a new
strain of g- r e a t
heaiity, the flowers
are of enormous size,
frequently measuring
from 5 to 6 inches
across, and are re-
markable for the cu-
rious, curled and
twisted form of the
petals, rivaling the
Avonderful Japa-
nese Chrysanthe-
numis in grotesque beau-
ty. They make well branched,
handsome plants, 12 to 15 inches
high, are good bearers, and con-
tinue in bloom a long time. Our
mixture contains two beautiful
colors — deep rose and
bright pink. Pkt. 8 cts.;
3 pkts. for 20 cts.
New Diamond Asters — This is a very handsome
strain and has so many good points, that it is recommended
as one of the best and most beautiful Asters for garden planting. Flowers are from 2 to 2.i inches
across, entirely double and perfect incurved form. Plants grow 18 to 20 inches, and bear immense
masses of superb flowers during July and
August. 10 Finest colors mixed. Pkt. 6c.
Crown Aster or Cocardeau.— This is a
very beautiful and striking variety, the
centre of each flower being pure white, sur-
rounded by a broad margin of bright color,
such as crimson rose, violet etc. Flowers
are large, full and regular, and borne in
great profusion. Height 18 inches to 2
feet. Mixed colors. Pkt. 6 cts.
New Victoria Aster. — Grand flowers,
often measuring 4 inches across. Rich brill-
iant colors; plants grow even and regular,
each bearing 25 to 30 flowers ; over 20
choice colors mixed. Pkt. 6 cts.
Paeony-Flowered Perfection Asters
are among the most beautiful and popular
Asters, very double, large beautiful flowers,
with fine incur%'ed petals, nearly 30 dis-
tinct colors mixed, grows 18 inches high, a
perfect mass of flowers. Pkt. 6 cts.
Aster, New Giant Kmperor.-Undoubl-
edly one of the very largest and finest As-
ters ever grown, large compact bushes over
2 feet high, covered all over with splendid,
perfectly double flowers almost as round as
balls, and of beautiful shades of blue, rose
pink, crimson, purple, white, etc. ; finest
mixed. Pkt. 8 cts., 3 pkts for 20 cts.
