e of the Sullivan family naturally comes to our minds inthis connection for grateful thanks. Few, perhaps, appreciate how manyyoung men and women are each year giving valuable time and aid to thesuccess of the ball. The aid given by the St. Christopher League merits our great recogni-tion. These young ladies must have added to the pleasure of themselves andothers, through their interesting performances, a sense of duty well done. Thanks are due to Mrs. Gherardi Davis and her associates in the Em-ployment Society of the Church of the Incarnation—Mrs. David BennettKing, Miss Augusta Parkin and Mrs. Julia A. M. Bacon, who have suppliedduring the past year quantities of material and articles for the hospital. The President would reiterate his suggestion that the Publicity Com-mittee obtain a list of the individual members of all the above co-operatingactivities, and that through that list a wride ramifying interest would beobtained to advance the cause to which we are all so devoted. 24

The Fourth Floor Nursery Since my last years report the new addition to the Hospital has not onlybeen completed, but many alterations, and consequent increased expenses,were a necessary incident to improving the old building up to modern stand-ards. In the accomplishment of this we are indebted to our regular sub-scribers, and also to the persons who so generously furnished and dedicatedrooms as memorials to the departed. I have confined the major part of this report to the various agencieswhich assisted us in meeting the large and increasing expenses necessary foran up-to-date hospital. The absolute necessity of a large permanent capitalis apparent to us all. We should have a larger annual contributing list,but it is especially incumbent that each and all should work for legacies orbequests to the institution so that we shall not draw in the future, as wehave during the past year, from our meagre capital fund.
