27 Report of the President To the Members of the Nezv York Nursery and Childs Hospital : Success is stimulating,—under its influence we ardently desire to domore, and better. Therein lies a danger, of which we must keep ourselves aware, con-stantly, lest Zeal become the blind conductor of the Will. We mustmaintain a provident care. In the past few years this Hospital has become established and or-ganized as an Institution. It instructs by precept and example,—affect-ing a large community. For the care of those who, by choice, come to our private rooms, orby untoward vicissitudes of life enter our wards; and others looked afterby our Boarding-out Department, or, in their homes, for obstetrical care,we maintain a Staff of nine resident physicians. To accommodate our many patients, and maintain a high characterof Administration, we have purchased in the year just past one additionalhouse, as related in the report of the Chairman of the Executive Com-mittee, and a second adjoining hou
