Charles Guevarra, a native of Long Island, N.Y., and Marine serving with Combat Logistics Regiment 2, Regional Command (Southwest), poses for a picture near an electricity generator at Camp Dwyer, Afghanistan, Aug. 12, 2013. Guevarra, who became a citizen while serving in the Marine Corps, is a basic electrician and Marine Corps Reservist out of Brooklyn, N.Y., currently serving his second tour in Afghanistan. He also took part in relief efforts in New York after Hurricane Sandy and is going to college with the help of the military. |
