English: New Tunnel, Rochdale Canal This is the eastern end of the tunnel built underneath the motorway approaches. There is no towpath through the tunnel, and it is difficult, tedious and dangerous picking your way across to find the continuation of the towpath at the other end. This is a point which needs addressing urgently, Canal Society please note! |
