[edit]DescriptionNew South Pacific Division commander visits Sacramento (14498366900).jpg | New commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers South Pacific Division, Col. (Promotable) Mark Toy, tours the Cosumnes Floodplain Mitigation Bank, a tract of approximately 471.7 acres surrounded by the Cosumnes River, Mokelumne River and Grizzly Slough in southwestern Sacramento County, Calif. Pictured during the July 9, 2014, tour, from left to right, are: Greg Sutter, Executive Vice President, Westervelt Ecological Services; Matt Gause, Senior Ecologist, Westervelt Ecological Services; Col.(P) Toy; Col. Mike Farrell, Corps Sacramento District commander; and Greg DeYoung, Vice President, Westervelt Ecological Services. The mitigation bank, approved in 2009, authorized the establishment and re-establishment of aquatic resources to provide compensatory mitigation for impacts authorized by Department of the Army permits within the service area of the mitigation bank. Toy assumed command of the division June 30. |
