Summary
[edit]DescriptionNew Powick Bridge - geograph.org.uk - 1279921.jpg |
English: New Powick Bridge Though described as the New Powick Bridge, it actually dates from 1837 and is an iron structure Telford style bridge, not dissimilar to the larger Mythe Bridge over the River Severn at Tewkesbury. This bridge is on the A449 Worcester to Malvern road and it is testament to the skills of the 19th century engineer who designed this bridge that it is still in use and withstanding the volume and particularly the weight of modern vehicles. |
