Description
English: Looking up Carondelet Street, New Orleans, c. 1900. Visible are a series of "moonlight towers" arc-light fixtures, at the time recently repurposed to hold electrical lines as the city switched to Edison style bulbs for street illumination. Visible landmarks include the old Hotel Denechaud at lower left and the steeple of St. Patrick's Church near top left.
