DescriptionNew Orleans Algiers Point Bonfire - Artist's Statement Torch It.jpg |
New Orleans: Jana Napoli addresses the crowd. "Torch It!" This year's Algiers Point Bonfire features "700 drawers", collected from flooded homes of post-Katrina New Orleans by artist Jana Napoli and exhibited around the world. It goes up in flames to symbolize the end of an era — and the return of light in a time of deepest darkness. |
