[edit]DescriptionNew Kabul Bank opens branch on ANA base in Sangin, third in Helmand Province 130828-M-TM093-007.jpg |
English: New Kabul Bank opened a new branch location at Forward Operating Base Nolay, Sangin District, Helmand Province, Afghanistan, Sept. 2.
The bank already has two established branches in the province: one branch in Lashkar Gah, the provincial capital, and one branch on Camp Shorabak, an Afghan National Army base adjacent to Camp Leatherneck. Soldiers needing to make bank transactions had to travel to Camp Shorabak prior to the branch opening. The trips sometimes last weeks and caused interruptions in their work schedules. The soldiers also risked insurgent and improvised explosive device attacks. |
