English: New Cleveland Social Club This club is situated on the corner of New Cleveland Street and Mulgrave Street. Information on hullcc.gov.uk says "Good example of a former Workman's Club. Acknowledged in its day as the best of its kind in Hull and without superior in the country. Built 1904-5 in a plain Queen Anne style for the employees of The British Oil & Cake Mills Ltd (BOCM). Founded and opened by the BOCM Managing Director Isaac Pearson. Run as a social club from 1976 and previously known as The Pearson Club." |
