English: Picture of the former New Philadelphia Society's church, which was founded and led by Bernhard Müller from 1832 to 1833. Located at 300 Fifth Street in Monaca, Pennsylvania, the church was formerly St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, but is currently Word of Life Christian Worship Center. The historical marker located near the front of the church says the following: "St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church constructed 1832 by separatists from the Harmony Society, under the leadership of Count Maximilian de Leon, organized as New Philadelphia Society. 1840 - first school built. 1850 - first pipe organ in Beaver County. Beaver County Historical Research & Landmarks Foundation". |
