Summary

[edit]
Description
English: With her works, the Australian artist Patricia Piccinini explores the relationship between the artificial and the natural. The poetic work 'Nest' is a representation of a lovely family scene. It seems like an ode to the life cycle of the technology. Mother Scooter watches carefully over baby Scooter. A spectator would almost forget that they are 'just' machines, which only respond to our command. They are presented as tame pets. With this scene, the artist creates an atmosphere that you also experience in nineteenth-century animal paintings and animal documentaries. As a spectator you feel like an intruder and you are afraid to disturb this intimacy. To alter the story a bit I changed the museum wall and window with an industrial setting and I made the floor more dirty looking

Public domain
The Public Domain Mark (PDM) is not a copyright license, but a symbol used to indicate that a work is in the public domain. When it is applied by the author or the copyright holder, community consensus has decided such works as being public domain in the US and countries where it is legally possible to release own work to the public domain. In the countries where this is not possible, the copyright status of the work remains undetermined.
If a file is tagged with Public Domain Mark by someone other than the author or the copyright holder, a more specific copyright tag such as one found at Commons:Copyright tags/General public domain must be applied. If this is your own work, please use {{Cc-zero}} instead.
