Description

Den nördlichen Part von Piazza Navona nimmt der Neptunbrunnen ein. Ebenso wie die Fontana di Moro wurde der Neptunbrunnen von Giacomo della Porta entworfen. Im Gegensatz zum Mohrenbrunnen, der sich unterhalb des Palazzo Pamphilj befand, erhielt der Neptunbrunnen aus Geldmangel ursprünglich keine Figuren. Erst 1873 wurde von Antonio della Bitta der Meeresgott Neptun dazugefügt, der einen Oktopus ersticht
