Title
Neolithic leaf shaped arrowhead
Description
English: Complete leaf shaped arrowhead dating to the Early Neolithic period. Formed on the middle of a large thin blade or flake, the bulb of percussion was at the point and has been removed by retouch. It is retouched on both faces with most of the point end of the ventral face un-retouched. On the ventral face the retouch is invasive, parallel and shallow. On the dorsal face it is long, parallel and shallow around the base becoming shorter and sub-parallel around the point. It is semi-abrupt around the point itself. It is 21.2mm long by 15.7mm wide and 2.9mm thick; it weighs 0.90 grams. It is made of medium-dark grey translucent flint.
