Neolithic disc side scraper (dorsal)
Description
English: Flint end and side scraper, circular in plan, triangular in section and trapezoidal in profile. The scraper is unimarginally retouched at the distal end and the right margin of the dorsal face. A thin layer of cortex remains on the left margin to the proximal end of the dorsal face.

The flint is a mottled light grey to white colour and the length to breadth ratio is about 6:5.

Bond (2004) illustrates similar examples on page 141, Fig.5.127, No.6, which is dated to the Later Neolithic period, and on page 145, Fig.5.131, No.11, which is dated to the Beaker period.
