Neolithic Serrated Implement
Description
English: Black flint with cortex, serrated implement. Sub-triangular flake with broad flakes struck from both sides by hard hammer working, and with very short abrupt retouch executed from one side to produce a finely serrated curved cutting edge; cortex is retained along the opposite edge to permit pressure to be brought to bear when using the tool. Suggested date: Early Neolithic, 4000-3500 BC.
