Title
Neolithic Serrated Blade
Description
English: A flint serrated blade or denticulate of probable early Neolithic date. The blade measures 36.8mm by 12.6mm by 3.2mm and weighs 1.9g. It is a secondary flake (c. 5% nodule cortex remaining on the dorsal surface) of slightly transparent mid-brown flint. It is fresh and (probably) complete. The diffuse bulb of percussion suggests the use of a soft hammer. Along almost the entire length of one lateral side there are tiny continuous notches or denticulations.
