Description
English: This recently described Neoalbatrellus subcaeruleoporus (Little Blue Polypore) is new to Alaska from Mitkof Island. Before this sample was discovered, its range was from Northern California to Vancouver Island. It is distinguished by its small size (less than 2” across), brittle flesh, sky blue to pale blue pores on the underside and living solitary or small clusters under Western Hemlock. This species is also under assessment for the Global Fungal Red List of rare species.
