Description
English: Nemrut mountain is in southeastern Turkey, notable for the summit where a number of large statues of Greek and Persian Gods are erected around what is assumed to be a royal tomb for Commagene kings from the 1st century BC. It is one of the highest peaks in the east of the Taurus Mountains. It was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
