Description
Envelopes, writing paper, and a comment card from the Neil House Hotel in Columbus. The original Neil House was founded by William Neil in 1842. It burned down in 1860. A smaller Neil house was built in it's place in 1862 and President William McKinley lived at the hotel during his time as governor from 1892-1896. It was torn down in 1923 and the final Neil House was built. It had 13 floors and 657 rooms. It closed in 1980 to make way for the 37 floor Huntington Center. The items were among a collection of Broekhoven Music School memorabilia.
