Español: En este episodio de Herzio Cultureta charlamos con Negro Bey, uno de los máximos exponentes del hip hop de Guinea Ecuatorial (África), quien asegura que «el rap engancha». Lo ha comprobado después de recorrer las escuelas de su país y compartir con la juventud en una campaña de sensibilización que dura ya cuatro años.
Negro Bey ha visitado El Salvador en el marco de las Residencias Artísticas de la Red AfrOeste 2023, una iniciativa surgida con apoyo de EUNIC (la red de institutos culturales europeos) en 2022, como proyecto para fomentar intercambio artístico y cultural entre creadores afrodescendientes y africanos en alianza con la Red de Centros Culturales de la Cooperación Española y otras entidades culturales afrodescendientes. Con Negro Bey hablamos sobre el hip hop en español, las particularidades de la escena de Guinea Ecuatorial, país de habla hispana en el continente africano. «No se olviden de Guinea, cogemos fuerza en lugares como Latinoamérica porque nos sentimos identificados», reivindica. Conocemos cómo su hermano lo inició en la cultura hip hop, su trabajo en las escuelas concientizando a la juventud de su país y nos ofrece un recorrido por la música africana, en el origen de muchos de los estilos musicales que escuchamos actualmente como la bachata, el jazz, blues, el reggae, el rap y basado en las expresiones de resistencia de los pueblos africanos esclavizados. «Aunque soy rapero tengo mucho que aprender, cuando voy a un lugar intento conectar con el movimiento hip hop», cuenta Negro Bey quien ha intercambiado experiencias con raperos de Soyapango, Cuscatancingo, San Salvador y Santa Ana, durante su residencia artística. |
