Neelam has been around as a prolific writer and director for and films and television programs for more than fifteen years. She has inexhaustibly worked on various fiction and nonfiction formats. Before coming to Mumbai and established herself in the movie world, Neelam had worked extensively in Delhi in different fields of theatre, costume designing, performing on stage and handling back-stage in various shows… she came to Mumbai in 1998 and began her career with flying colors. She had worked as chief assistant director and later, as an associate director with the renowned director J.P. Dutta in movies like “Border” “Refugee” and “LOC”. Neelam had worked as the head of the in-house writers and as in house director for the very well known movie making company “Rajshri Production” for seven years and wrote numerous projects for them as a writer. Her film “Jana Pachana”, released in 2011 was the sequel of hit movie “Ankhiyon ke jharokhon se” produced by Rajshri Production in late seventies. In the process of writing television shows, Neelam was extensively associated with a number of production houses such as Cinevista, Cinemographers, Anandi Films, Spice etc. she had also worked as In house director with Zee Tv, for programs ‘Cine news’ ‘chahre’ and ‘highlight Zee’. Neelam had also produced a non-fiction show called ‘Hum aapka dard samajhte hain”. Recently she had signed few movies as a writer director for Vivek Films. & Director
