Description
English: Complete but slightly bent copper-alloy needle. The diameter of the shaft is just over 2 mm for the whole of its length until it ends in a blunt point. The opposite end is flattened so that it measures 4 mm wide and 1 mm thick. An oval eye is set into this, but the usual groove above and below is missing. Total unbent length c. 58 mm. Needles of this shape date from the early post-medieval period onwards.
