died November 13, 1726. Whole length, about twenty-five to thirty, life size, standingnear the balcony, in state robes, blue ermine lined gown andmantle and white satin gold-embroidered petticoat, richlystudded with pearls and precious stones, fair hair with pearland other ornaments; left hand holding robes, right hand onorb which, with crown, rests on blue-covered table; red curtainbackground. Exhibited: Guelph Exhibition, Nezc Gallery, 1891, Xo. 11.Collection: Duke of Fife, Duff House, Banffshire, June 7, 1907. No. 3152 in the old catalogue of the Fife pictures. Thiswas No. 17 in the Duke of Fife sale and was Included among theportraits by unknown artists. It is a very fine jjortrait of abeautiful woman, more in the style of a French artist than Knellerand probably represents some other Queen Sojjhia than the wifeof George I, to whose other known portraits it bears no resem-blance. Whole-length, middle-aged, standing on a balcony, in Peersrobes with chain and pendant of St. George; coronet in righthand, left holding ribbon of cloak; wig; pillar and red curtainto left. Earl Goxcer sat to Reynolds in 1760-1. From the Blakcslee Galleries Sale, New York, 1915, Catalogue Xo. 223. Property of a Private Collector.
