Description |
English: Roman cast copper alloy nail cleaner probably of 1st or 2nd century AD date. The nail cleaner is near complete, missing a section of the loop and one of the points. The nail cleaner is 54.6mm long with a maximum diameter of 6.3mm. The loop has an internal diameter of 3mm and is in the same plane as the shaft. Beneath the loop are a number of bead, reel and spoon mouldings. The shaft is of circular section and the sides are concave with a minimum diameter of 3mm. The nail cleaner weighs 4.5g. |
