Khwaja Anwar was the chief Amir of Bengal Governor Azim-us-Shan. In honour of the warrior, Emperor Farrukhsiyar built a tomb over Khwaja Anwar's remains. The tomb complex is a remarkable representation of Mughal architecture, and is popularly known as the Nawab Bari.
