[edit]DescriptionNaval Submarine Base New London centennial celebration (27818388515).jpg |
Tuesday, June 21, 2016 -- Governor Dannel P. Malloy joined other elected officials and officials from the U.S. Navy at the centennial celebration of the Naval Submarine Base New London. It was 100 years ago today that the U.S. Navy's first submarine base opened. No one can deny that Connecticut is the Submarine Capital of the World - a title that we are proud to hold. We salute the men and women who serve onboard our submarines. |
