Description

Restored in an uncovered state to show construction, this unmarked N3N-3 is reported to be US Navy Bureau No 2621 and the civil registration N44757. Unfortunately, one of the derelict fuselages stored outside in the yard has the number ‘2621’ visible on the fin. This is a similar situation to ‘2827 / N45280’ which also exists twice at the museum. Again, this doesn’t detract from the fantastic standard of restoration carried out, the machine is stunning! It is currently out of public view at the back of Hangar 2, hopefully a temporary situation. Yanks Air Museum, Chino, California, USA.
