English: Dine / Navajo Wayne in N.A.B.I Prayer Hogan in Burnt water Az. Wayne is a Dine' (Navajo) who was born in Fort Defiance, Az. and is From Tiis Iiahi( Pine Springs), AZ. I am Bitahnii (Folded Arms)Clan born for Toh Ahedlii nii (Two waters That Flow Together) Clan he was raised by his Grand Mother Nesbah Burnside in a Traditional Dine' (Navajo) Hogan (a circular home or dwelling, during the time he was raised and brought in the Hogan he grew up witnessing many Protection Way and Blessing way or Beauty way ceremonies performed by his Grand Father John Burnside who was one of many Medicine men in the Community of Pine Springs who is now deceased. Wayne has assisted his Grand Father in gathering Herbs and sand for Iikaa (Sand Painting) for ceremonies that are not really performed anymore that John Performed for his patients. Wayne attends and assists singing in Hozhoji or Biji (Blessing way) ceremonies he feels he has attained some of his elders common sense and Spiritual teachings and is only participating in the process of long life learning. When Wayne's Grand mother and Grand Father passed away, his parents also passed away and was brought in his teenage years by his Aunt's and Uncles who also were into snd ordained in the Native American Church of Navajo land now known as the Azee Bee Nahagha of Dine Nation. Waynes uncle performed Native American Church ceremonies for him when he went to School. He Fort Wingate Boarding School, Pine Springs Boarding School, Sanders Elementary and Graduated from Valley High School and on to Mott Community College in Flint, MI, and Central Michigan University, in Mt. pleasant, MI. Wayne also is a artist, singer, a motivational speaker and a Pow-wow Dancer |
