Description
Deutsch: Blick aus südlicher Richtung auf den Nordteil des Altarms. Der „Werra-Altarm bei Schwebda“ liegt am südlichen Dorfende von Schwebda, einem Ortsteil der Gemeinde Meinhard im nordhessischen Werra-Meißner-Kreis. Die ehemalige Flussschleife im Eschweger Becken wurde im 19. Jahrhundert durch eine künstliche Begradigung der Werra vom Hauptstrom abgetrennt. Um den, zum Lebensraum von einer Vielzahl von Vogelarten gewordenen Bereich zu schützen wurde die rund acht Hektar große Fläche zum Naturschutzgebiet und Flora-Fauna-Habitat-Gebiet erklärt.
