Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Natural Hide. Fingringhoe Wick Nature Reserve is run by the Essex Wildlife Trust. This seat overlooks a flooded disused gravel pit. The dense hedge cover make it an ideal spot from which to "twitch", it is far more pleasant spot than the normal overgrown garden sheds that generally serve as bird hides. The gravels in the pit were laid down about ½ a million years ago when the Thames flowed here in its journey to meet the Rhine.
