Summary
[edit]DescriptionNatomas soil samples guide future flood work (16079473688).jpg | Contractors for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District bore their way to 60 feet below ground in a Natomas, California neighborhood January 7, 2015. A total of 11 borings ranging from 40 to 80 feet deep are scheduled by the end of January along the southeast portion of the Natomas Basin called the Natomas East Main Drainage Canal. Engineers are looking for sand and clay content that helps determine the type of flood risk reduction feature necessary in that area. (U.S. Army photo by Todd Plain/Released) |
