Description
English:

Seattle's National Meat Company opened at 318 Main Street in 1902. According to an article in The Seattle Sunday Times, the facility consisted of "a well-appointed and attractively kept main floor and basement," and its two delivery wagons "promptly deliver to all parts of the city." In this image, Frank Jobson stands with his staff members in the retail shop's interior. National Meat did both retail and wholesale business in fresh, salted, and smoked veal, beef, mutton, and pork. Several varieties of poultry can also be seen. The building this business was located in would be razed in 1905 for construction of the Great Northern Railway tunnel.
