Description
English: The National Institutes of Health has grown from an historic core of three buildings from 1939 to over 50 buildings in 2011. This photograph is ca. 2000 and the growth is evident. Prominent in the photograph is the Clinical Center in red brick. Rockville Pike has extended and the Bethesda Naval Hospital is partially viewed at the lower right of the image.
